Monday evening as big fluffy flakes were blanketing St. Louis in white, a website design client was running a little late and I was lurking on FaceBook… Maricel’s status popped up, asking if anyone wanted to shoot her in the snow…. I already had the wine stained vintage 1940s wedding dress, and Maricel was small enough to wear it (24 inch waist).
Tuesday morning found the weather unfortunately warm. Unfortunate for very many snow pictures since it was melting quick, fortunate for the comfort of the model. We forgot the furs we’d intended to shoot in.
The wine stains on the dress hardly showed (although they’re obvious in person, why I got the dress for cheap, and the reason I was willing to potentially ruin it on one shoot).
Here are the first snow pictures, shot in the woods. I bet you can guess the story we made up as we shot.
