I am having a hard time dating this green felt hat with silk flowers. As with many of the items from the historical society, there is only an item number attached. The story has been lost, or not kept with the clothing.
From looking at fashion-era’s page and their image: http://www.fashion-era.com/images/HairHats/original_hathair_images/1936_hats_hair.jpg - it looks like circa 1936… but I’ve only recently begin my explorations into fashion history, so don’t know.
I posed ZiZi Valenti in one of my old mink stoles and took some simple headshots. We also shot the usual rather boring product-style photos for documenting the details and original color and condition of the item(s), which I don’t tend to display online.
