This male model is posed next to a 1935 Ford Cabriolet and wearing a long tail tux, vest, and pants that we dated to circa 1930s or late 20s. Nobody knew how to tie a bowtie, and the bowler hat that I borrowed was comically small. Luckily, the BH provided his own hat, shoes, shirt, and cane.
Below are the photos I shot of BH pretending to be a man about to get married in 1936, as we were waiting for the girls to get finished with hair and makeup (by retro MUAH specialist Brittany).
- I hav a love/hate with this picture. It’s almost spooky. I think he looks like a movie star in this picture.
- I went for a Kodachrome effect with this and other photos from this shoot… eventhough, to be technically correct, although Kodachrome came out in the summer of 1936, the stable non-fade film didn’t go on the market until 1938
