I posed this model as the sister of the bride. She could have been a 1930s bridesmaid, but she looked like she could be ZiZi’s sister, and there’s something about personality and old fashion that leads one to make up stories like this. I think, as a photographer and creative director, that at least having a basic idea and communicating the story behind the photos, makes for strongly projected emotions and better pictures.
Arcana is wearing a satin-y faintly criss crossed patterned vintage 1930s dress borrowed from the local historical society that had a note on it that said “1930s formal”. She brought her own vintage style shoes, and is wearing stocking, a mink fur stole, and ofcourse hair and makeup by Brittany.

- This photo is totally un-retouched. Sometimes editing pictures messes them up, and I like to shoot as perfect as possible to begin with.
- Again, this is where the black and white vs the color versions are both "good" but give different moods and stories.
